7 Best Nude Lipsticks
I’ve always been a big fan of red lipstick. But lately though (after quitting my job) I find it a bit strange to go out in a power-red mouth. I guess I’ve also chilled out a bit, and therefore nude lipsticks have become my new go to. Now, there are a lot of ‘rules’ to select the right nude, but I just feel that any any shade that makes your skin brighter and teeth whiter is the right one for you. And this goes for any lipstick. So here are my favourite nudes.
M.A.C Vevetease Lip Pencil in Frolic
This peachy Bardot shade is a very youthful nude. The powdery, matte texture makes your lips look powdery and this also works beautifully if you want to make your lips look fuller by overdrawing them a bit.
Estée Lauder Victoria Beckham Lipstick in Brazilian Nude
This is what I call a JLo nude - and I mean this in the best way possible because she wears the most beautiful nude lipsticks. This shade looks bangin’ with a smokey eye and bronzer. It's creamy texture sits beautifully on the lips for a long time.
Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Brown
This shade was suggested to me by Bobbi Brown herself. It was the first set of lipsticks that she ever made and this matte milk chocolate shade looks good on everyone. Even if you don’t have anything else on your face, this will make your skin look amazing.
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lipstick in Coral
Literally the best metallic peachy/nude. I have tried this colour on my mom, my yoga guruji, my friends, and this shade looked good on all of them. I have been using this colour for five years now - I’m on my second tube and I will buy another one when this runs out.
Chanel Rouge Allure in Angelique
Whenever I wear this shade I’m always asked which lipstick I’m wearing. This beautiful peach has a creamy matte texture, and sits comfortably on the lips. I love wearing this with a slick of jet-black cat-eye liner.
YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush in 10
I wear this shade when I go to teach yoga. (Yes, I’m a yoga teacher who wears lipstick - kill me). This gorgeous, rosy beige can also be used as a blush on the cheeks and looks best worn on clean skin with maybe just a touch of mascara.
Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer in Muted Raspberry
This is more pink than brown, but I still count this in the neutral category because it looks sort of pinky-nude on darker complexions. This gloss really does last long and when it wears off it leaves behind a beautiful stain on the lips.
