The Body Shop Luxury Face Flannel

I was introduced to this wonderful product by Nonita Kalra, who gave it to me and said “This will change your life.” I’ve been using muslin cleansing cloths to clean my face for a while now. I usually massage a cold pressed oil into my skin and then wipe it off with a hot washcloth. I was happy with this ritual but as Nonita said, this product really did change my life. Its one of those things that you don’t really need till you start using them.

So basically, this is a white flannel-type sheet, which when wet, completely hoovers every bit of dirt, grime and makeup. Now I’ve never really been a big fan abrasive cleansing - I even hated the Clarisonic because I felt it was a bit rough and unnecessary. I loved the face flannel immediately because the texture is so smooth and gentle that it won’t cause even the slightest irritation. But that’s not the only reason to love it.

Once you’ve wiped your makeup and washed the face flannel, you can just fold it and put it back into the plastic bag that it came in (don’t throw it away!). The flannel quickly dries to a hard,  cardboard-like texture, which means that it isn’t a breeding ground for bacteria, unlike sponge and muslin that remain damp for longer. This also makes it very easy to travel with, because you can just pop the hard cloth into your makeup bag, without feeling icky. It's mostly out of stock at The Body Shop, so it seems like I'm not the only one who's in love with this ultra soft cleansing cloth.
